I am one of those people who have fallen in love with cupcakes in the last two years. I love how they are small enough to eat in one sitting, yet big enough that by the time you are done you are contently satisfied. Living in a small town, I have not yet found a bakery that fulfills my cupcake desires, but I just found something that is pretty nifty! A few weeks ago I went to New York City for the weekend and had the privilege of eating at Crumbs for the first time. I know it sounds crazy, but it was the single most amazing cupcake I have ever tasted in my life and I doubt I will ever find one to match it (I plan on going to Georgetown Cupcakes… so we will see). Today, I was craving a Crumbs cupcake and decided to visit their website. And you will never guess what I found?! You can order Crumbs cupcakes and they will send them to you! There are three sizes one can choose from: Taste, Classic (they are not shipping these now) and Signature. The Signature cupcakes are six ounces and are sold in increments of six. You can pick and choose from their various flavors so it is kind of like a mix and match and it’s only about $27!! My personal favorite is the Blackout, but that is because I absolutely love chocolate. This bakery has given me a new outlook on my cupcake taste, and thankfully it doesn’t look like I will have to settle for grocery bought ones any longer!
